Poster: Must See Maui
Poster – Must See Maui.
The image is one of the posters featured in the new eBook, Maui by Poster, which I launched earlier this month.
The photo itself was taken from my doors-off helicopter tour over Maui during the ’09 Maui Photo Festival and may very well be my favorite image in the eBook. I’m featuring this and a few other posters from the book over at my original Maui blog, Ka’anapali Dreamin’, so I thought I’d drop a few here, too.
If you’d like to see all 24 posters that I created using an iPad, visit the download page over at Daily Maui Photo and grab a copy for yourself. And if you know someone that might enjoy these images, too, please help spread the Aloha and send the link their way, too.
Put Some Aloha on Your Wall
In addition to the free eBook download, a good number of these images are also available as prints over at ImageKind. I was very happy with test prints I ordered, and have heard good things from others that have seen them as well. If you’d like to take a look for yourself, head over to the Maui eBook Posters gallery and check out the options there.
Mahalo, and I hope you enjoy these as much as I did creating them.

Photo: Cascading Waterfalls (Redux)
One of the other works I put together this week while I was off from work (which went by way too fast by the way). It’s a more artistic version of this original shot of the pools at the Oheo Gulch in East Maui.
The new look is courtesy of a few tweaks to the Spicify effect in Topaz Adjust.
Thoughts?
Let me know what you think of this version versus the original one.

Photo: Valley Waterfall
Another one of the shots I worked on in post this week. It was from the helicopter tour I took in September during the Maui Photo Festival, and given a once over in ACR and Topaz Adjust to bring out some color and details.
Photo: Hanawi Falls
Had a few hours yesterday to go through some older photos and add them to my photonelly Flickr account. Here’s one of my favorite shots from Hanawi Falls along the Road to Hana. It took three years to get this shot, and aside from getting lucky with the weather (aka no rain) the secret really was driving the road ourselves and not being rushed to shoot as part of a tour group.
Photo: Cascading Waterfalls at Oheo
I was showing my Maui portfolio to our favorite Maui-fan family members yesterday and came upon this photo and the story of how I nearly broke my neck or destroy my camera gear getting this shot earlier this year.
While it was still fresh in my mind, I also added a cropped version to Daily Maui Photo. If you love Maui and haven’t checked out my calendar yet, it’s a neat way to get a new photo from Maui on your iGoogle page, in your favorite feed reader, or in your inbox everyday.
Enjoy.
